The challenge
Killiney Kopitiam has been part of Singapore’s coffee-shop culture since 1919, and the name still carries real weight offline across a wide outlet and retail footprint. Attention, though, has moved to short-form video, where a heritage brand competes with a constant feed of new F&B content. Holding that space needs a reliable publishing rhythm, content made for the platform rather than repurposed, and paid amplification behind the pieces that earn it — a level of output that is hard to sustain in-house alongside running the business.
The objective
Put the brand in front of a materially larger audience on Meta and TikTok, build a dependable pipeline of video-led content, and lift engagement with a younger audience who know the name but do not follow the brand. Success was measured in reach, video views and engagement rate — awareness metrics — rather than direct sales.
What we did
We took over day-to-day social media management, setting the content calendar, posting cadence and community responses. Our team produced original video, photography and design around the kopitiam ritual and the brand’s heritage, shot for vertical formats first. The strongest organic pieces were amplified with awareness campaigns across Meta and TikTok, tuned toward cost-efficient reach and video completion. Influencer and creator collaborations added credible, community-led distribution beyond the brand’s own following, and we kept reallocating production effort toward the formats and angles that earned the most attention.
The result
Over five to six months the brand reached between 1.5M and 2.5M people, passed 3M video views, and sustained an engagement rate above 3% — a materially larger and more active social footprint for a name that was already well known offline.
